Premiership Football Betting
The time is almost here, the new Premiership season is almost apon us. Ok, so the wait has not been as bad as usual with the World Cup to sate our appetite, but none the less the excitment is building.
While we ready the simulation and prediction systems here at SoccerForesight, we thought we would have a look at some of the factors which can help you have a successful premiership betting season. We will also be looking at more specific betting strategy in the coming weeks, so if there is not enough detail in some of these point then don’t worry, we will be expanding on them.
1. Don’t jump in too early – We all think we know how a team will perform from the outset, but unless you have done an amazing amount of research over the off season, don’t count on predicting a teams performance until you have seen them play. Liverpool is a great example at the moment. It is hard to predict exactly how they will look and perform under Hodgson’s management.
2. Don’t bet beyond your betting bank – Set a football betting bank at the start of the season and don’t risk more than 3% of that bank on any bet (some people say 5%, but we have found 3% to be a better figure). Remember as your bank keeps growing then so does your 3% stake. Bank growth is what makes successful betting.
3. Pick a select group of teams to follow very closely – Doing this can help you to keep up with team news that can have an effect on your betting. Be one step ahead of the crowd rather than just keeping up with them.
4. Find the right Bookie – It is all too easy to get settled in at one bookmakers, but by doing this you often find that you are not getting the best odds week in week out. If you have a quick shop around before making your bet it could have a massive impact on your final figures.
